How are you? No, not that dismissive “I don’t really want to hear how you are, so just nod or say hi” kind of way. I really want you to feel into this question and answer it for yourself, and post a comment on my blog if you want to take it even deeper.
How are you?
What emotions and sensations are you feeling?
What is working well for you?
What sucks for you?
What dreams are you feeling into?
I mean in just an hour, we experience I don’t even know how many thousands of emotional states, sensations in our bodies, and of course those constantly running thoughts and beliefs about ourselves and the world. And then there’s everything we’re taking in and how it affects us.
We are being pushed to find different ways to connect to each other in a time when many are feeling the effects of trauma, thanks to several months now of instability and disconnection.
PAUSE.
BREATHE.
When things get crazy like in oh I don’t know, a global pandemic…
Give yourself some space. Emotional space. Physical space. HOLD SPACE for yourself to be with whatever you’re feeling and experiencing.
We don’t do enough of that. When we do, it brings us home to ourselves.
The kind of society that has been created for us does not hold space for us to be who we are as individuals or as families or communities. What is falling down right now is this incredibly dismissive and dishonouring way of being on the planet. What is RISING UP right now is whatever we co-create! Seems like an oxymoron but in this utter chaos, and even if your situation is far from ideal, we have new freedom. Freedom to co-create a new way of being and living together on Mother Earth.
We need to remember who we are and allow space within ourselves and our lives for the dreams we have, and the grief and other emotions that we carry, whether we know it or not. We have built-in systemic racism, and all kinds of other isms and boxes that attempt to keep us in a holding pattern of self-destruction but right now, the Light has been turned on and we have a real chance here to do better. It all begins with self-care and really really seeing each other.
Please take some time for YOU today and every day to pause, breathe and love yourself up.
The world isn’t going to stop changing and neither is any life form on this planet including you. We need to remember that change is guaranteed and constantly happening, because ego-mind – and the societal systems that are falling down – like to convince us to “stay the same”. There is no same. There never has been. Thank goodness, because it’s time to LIVE!
Instead of creating new boxes to trap ourselves in, or wondering if we’ll ever “go back to normal,” how about we stop dismissing ourselves and each other, and start tapping into what we’re really here for…
To live. To love. To be. To grow. To learn. To feel. And to experience this lifetime, whatever it brings.
You’re here. So. How are you REALLY?
Love & Blessings,
Brenda MacIntyre, Medicine Song Woman

Thanks Brenda for all the creative work and prescience you’ve put into the Medicine Song Oracle Cards. I started using them a few weeks ago, and I enjoy picking up a random card every morning, and listening to the inspiring music that goes with it, and interpreting the artwork and its meaning for me. The positive, self-assertive messages are inspiring and motivating.
As a writer, photographer and artist, I create very much on intuition and explore my inner world as well as others’ for inspiration. I feel there are random messages coming our way every day, but we are often too distracted to listen to them. The Oracle Cards are very efficient in keeping us grounded, self-aware for a few minutes a day so we are more receptive to the positive energy around us, and more likely to make thoughtful, wise decisions.
Thank you for the love and warmth you spread though your work. Wishing you continued success in your creative and healing journey.
Peggy, thank you so much for your kind words. I love how you are using the cards!
Many Blessings,
Brenda
