Where did people get this idea anyway?

Uncategorized | 0 comments

Let’s take a little trip in your imagination for a minute.

Imagine you were given an amazing job, with an equally amazing boss, and you showed up every day for the first 3 weeks loving it and doing a fantastic job.

You feel so fulfilled and enriched by this job that you so love to do and so on Friday of the 3rd week, you go home feeling just great.

You write up cheques to cover your mortgage or rent and car payments just barely in time – thank goodness!

Then you head to a bank machine to get some cash, just because you know you CAN. You’re thinking about that empty fridge and how you’re going to be able to fill it back up. You’re excited about doing some shopping to get those new clothes you’ve been eyeing at your favorite store. And you’re daydreaming about the vacation you will soon be able to take.

Oh Oh.

For some reason, the bank machine says “Insufficient Funds”. So you look through the transactions and you notice your pay hasn’t gone through yet. Panicking a little, you call up your boss hoping she’s still there… and whew! You’ve reached her. So you tell her what’s just happened and she says…

“Oh. Well, did you check your mail yet?”

So you go home and check your mail. You heave a sigh of relief upon noticing the envelope with your company logo on it. You open it up and it says “The Bearer of this gift certificate is entitled to receive 30 Reiki treatments. Value: $4000.”

Sure, part of you might be all excited about all those free healing sessions. But can those treatments pay your mortgage? NO. Can they make your car payments? NO. Can they buy groceries? NO.

So now what do you do? How will you survive? What about your kids? What about those monthly bills? Never mind the vacation, new clothes or even dinner tonight.

THIS is why I want YOU to be making lots of money sharing your gifts. So you can THRIVE, not just get by. And so you don’t have to work 2 jobs just to pay the bills.Think about it.

Isn’t it absurd that PROFESSIONALS get PAID WELL for their services, but the people who are out there TRANSFORMING LIVES and healing the Earth are WAY UNDERPAID?

Where did people get this idea anyway?!

Yes, in a perfect world, maybe we wouldn’t need money. And maybe in the future we won’t. But right now, we do! So if you’re not charging what you’re worth, why not????

If you’re working a day job to support your “healing habit” instead of growing a prosperous business in which you share your gifts for good money, what’s going on there? And I mean this in all seriousness.

Do you think that little of yourself and your Spirit-given gifts?

YOU are NECESSARY to the healing of this planet!

YOUR WELL-BEING is NECESSARY to the healing of your clients!!

And guess what. There are ways to build into your business the ability to serve people of all income levelswithout being exhausted and drained, and without charging “pay what you can”. And without going broke.

Are you ready to kick your healing habit and start making more money doing what you love?

Are you committed to yourself and to growing a successful prosperous spirit-led business?
