Let Your Soul Out of the Cage! How to Express Your Authenticity #TruthbyBrenda

Here’s your 19th Medicine Song Oracle Cards™ reading, along with the audio clip of the medicine song that matches the card.

The cards and the songs from my Medicine Song CD interact with each other to amplify the energy and experience for you. The cards are based on the Ojibwe medicine wheel the way I was taught by indigenous traditional teachers, and my own Medicine Wheel of Success system, as well as the 13 Grandmother Moons of the lunar cycle and the 28 days of each Moon cycle.

Your 19th reading is based on the song “Starlight”. Click on the audio player at the top of this week’s blog to hear the clip and meditate to the healing art while you read the message for the week.

Bonus time… hehehe… So I went to pull one card and 2 fell out, both of them Starlight cards! Big Message there. This is all about being who you are – no holds barred. Here’s what came through…

The “Starlight” Affirmation Card is from the East direction of the medicine wheel, representing representing air, the mind and new beginnings. I already channelled a reading with this card and you can find it here.

The “Starlight:” Inspirational Message Card is from the South direction of the medicine wheel, representing creativityfirepassionbirthing and the sacred feminine. This is YOU on FIRE with your self-expression!

What’s coming through about the 2 cards popping up together is that for those of you reading this, it’s time for you to burst out in the area of your self-expression. You’ve been holding back in some way and you’re probably getting really tired of it, and maybe even drained from it.

For some of you, it might take some baby steps to get to full-on sacred self-expression. And for some of you, it might just be a bold move that will jumpstart the process and get you on your way. Right now you’ve got this fire fountain of creativity and birthing (south card) along with the sunrise of new beginnings in the east. The new beginning is already in process. You’re already in it! This is powerful medicine for you right now.

Now it’s up to you to embrace this medicine and create your own ways to bring more YOU into that new beginning. Tune into your creativity and that birthing energy and explore how you can shift your beliefs about YOU and about what will happen if you let your soul out of the cage. I know for me, letting my soul out of the cage has been the most freeing, inspiring thing I’ve ever done. I’m still in process with it too – it’s not like we’ll be finished at some point (until we’re done with this lifetime). It’s a beautiful journey that invites you into more and more freedom and fun.

Finding your voice is pretty huge – I work with women over several months to help them find their voice in specific areas of their lives or businesses, because it is no small process. If you’d like support and you feel like you’re ready NOW to let your soul out of the cage, you can apply to work with me here.

How To Find Your Voice:

For me, when the song “Starlight” came through right here in my apartment, when I was soooo done with holding back and doing things the way people thought I “should” be doing them. I was constantly being told how I was supposed to be singing, what I was supposed to be wearing, and how I was supposed to behave. Ugh. I remember one time a woman admonished me for having my hair in pigtails. She wanted me to “act my age”. I was like, huh? What does that even mean? I’m not into acting. I’m into BEING and FEELING. That’s the difference between being authentic and holding back: instead of “acting” a certain way, just BE YOU and do what makes you FEEL GOOD.

Not coincidentally, I was just talking on Periscope on this topic the other day and so here you go. You can get some more tips on how to find your voice right here:

By the way, the song “Starlight” is all about being who you are and to heck with what everyone else has to think or say about it. You don’t have to please everyone else. When this song poured its way through me for the first time, I knew I was DONE with doing things the way I “should” or was “supposed to” do them. It was a breakthrough moment for me around my own self-expression and the value of me being me.

Aim to reach and resonate with those souls who have come in with a sacred contract to work, play or be with you in some way. Then when other people don’t get you, it will bother you less and less. And you will see that as you step into expressing more and more of YOU, those beautiful souls and you will find each other much more easily.

It’s okay if some people walk away from you or if you need to walk away from some of the people in your life, in order to speak your truth and be who you are. That may or may not need to happen. The cool thing is, whether that happens or not, once you let your soul out of the cage, you will begin to naturally attract to you people who really get you and want to hear what you have to say, and who want to be in your energy. Not to mention, you’ll have a whole lot more FUN! (:

Let your soul out of the cage!

If nobody could tell you what to do or how to do it, what would you be doing right now and how would you be doing it?

You truly are a sacred expression.

Love & Blessings,

Brenda MacIntyre, Medicine Song Woman
