I Finally Took It!

Uncategorized | 0 comments

I just wanted to share with you this week exactly what I did when I finally took the quantum leap of faith that accelerated my business success just under 2 years ago.

Heads Up: If you want the quick version, read the bolded bits. If you want the essence and spirit of it, keep on reading.

You will notice pretty quickly if you’re new to my community – and if you’ve been here a while, you’ll get this – that I speak in “story”. I share a lot of my own personal experiences.

The reason I do that – apart from it just being who I am at the core – is because I have learned from the Aboriginal and Native American elders I have had the pleasure and honour of sitting with, that the best way to teach is by walking your talk, being who you are, and sharing your story. Your REAL story. But that’s a whole other article in itself.

So it’s never about “look at me”. It’s about look at what is possible for YOU – and how you might be able to get there. (:

So onto my little story here…

Before I stepped fully into what I do now, I was in business as a recording artist. And that still continues (Shhhh… there’s an album coming out in 2013 of some pretty raw, inspirational stuff!). Even today as I write this, I can taste my hunger for the stage. I LOVE being fully ME in front of an audience of awesome people just like you who want healing, inspiration and uplifting words and music. That’s why I’m at all those live events coming up. But I digress…

I was on stage plenty, on radio stations across North America and beyond, interviewed on various TV programs and loving it… but 2 things were missing.

1.    I wasn’t making the money I deserved.
2.    I wasn’t fully expressing my power – I was holding back and hiding out, even on stage.

Wow. I’ve never shared that with anyone before.

Funny how I didn’t know those were related until just recently…

So what happened to propel me into turning both of those around?

I took a big scary step. Not a random step. One that my spirit told me to take. One that took me FAR out of my comfort zone. (Hint: this is a major key!)

It almost doesn’t matter what the step even was. What matters the most is that I said a big hearty YES and that I invested financially in something I could feel was going to help me and my business. It scared the heck out of me, honestly. I didn’t even have that in my bank – and I had no savings or credit card. All I knew was that I had one live event coming up that would pay for the first month, and that the deposit that was required was going to take away from my grocery money.

So what’s important here?

  1. I made a powerful decision in the face of my fear, even though I had to really stretch and be creative in finding the money.
  2. I listened to my spirit and intuition and didn’t second-guess myself.
  3. I was absolutely committed to making this work.
  4. I stretched WAY beyond my comfort zone.
  5. I invested significantly in my business.
  6. I didn’t wait. I made sure I was one of the first people into that program. Yes, the bonuses were awesome, but my real point is…

When you take inspired action, the Universe comes to your front door.

I was also just done with the struggle. You know when you’re in that place where you’re just soooooo completely done with living the way you’re living? I was there.

As some of you know, I’m a single mom, so I had to step out in a LOT of TRUST and FAITH and stretch just enough to believe in my abilities to manifest the money I needed for the next 6 months.

My intuition was telling me loud and clear that this particular program was going to help me forward my business in exactly the way I needed just then. But the rest of me wanted to back off, forget it, and just keep doing it all on my own. But I had tried that. And clearly it wasn’t working, because I was still struggling.

What I didn’t realize was that apart from increasing my income, I was about to step into being who I am in a much bigger way. And it didn’t have much to do with the program itself, or the coaches involved, though the whole thing was really great. It had to do with ME.

I committed to showing up in a huge way – and my results were amazing! Showing up, being committed, doing the work involved… that’s what it takes to make a massive transformation.

So now you know. It certainly didn’t happen overnight, but since that day back in October 2010, I have not turned back, and my gifts continue to uplevel, my business continues to grow, and I am expressing myself and gifts in the most amazing ways I could never have imagined just a few short years ago.

And yes, I do believe in YOU this much too.

You CAN move through the fear and take whatever that next step is for you and your business. You CAN expand in ways that you can’t even imagine right now. I’ve seen it with my clients and myself, and I know you can do it too.

If you’re at that point I was, where you’re ready for a quantum leap, but you’re not sure which of my programs would be best for you, let’s talk! Just Contact Us and my assistant will get you into my calendar, so you can feel the palpable relief and excitement I felt when I did the same.
