I had so much FUN channelling the last 13 weeks of readings from my Medicine Song Oracle Cards™, and I’ve gotten such positive feedback on them, that I’ve decided to continue doing them for a while. So here’s your 15th reading, along with the audio clip of the medicine song that matches the card.
The cards and the songs from my Medicine Song CD interact with each other to amplify the energy and experience for you. The cards are based on the Ojibwe medicine wheel the way I was taught by indigenous traditional teachers, and my own Medicine Wheel of Success system, as well as the 13 Grandmother Moons of the lunar cycle and the 28 days of each Moon cycle.
Your 15th reading is based on the song “Back in the River.” Click on the audio player at the top of this week’s blog to hear the clip and meditate to the healing art while you read the message for the week.
The “Back in the River” Activity Card is from the North direction of the medicine wheel, representing Earth, physical, body, business, money and wisdom.
It’s time for a little action. Not the usual kind of action, you know where you plan it all out and then you do the thing you said you would do? Nope. Not that.
Time to do something out of character. Out of the ordinary. That is the BEST way to shift your energy NOW.
I love that this card has shown up, because I just got back from Women’s Urban Retreat Day, hosted by my friend Jill Hewlett and featuring another dear friend of mine, Erica Ross, with her Dance Our Way Home practice… and here’s what Jill said towards the end of our circle:
Jill suggested we make a daily practice of doing something different every single morning. Could be walking backwards into the kitchen. Or smiling your way through a task you normally don’t enjoy. Or maybe instead of your usual hairstyle, you put it up or braid your intentions into your hair. Just do one thing that’s different than your usual routine.
That’s what I call tripping up the Universe. The cool thing is, that’s the message on this card! No coincidences – just Spirit bringing messages and then confirming them. “Trip up the Universe. Shake it up. Do something DIFFERENT” is the message on the card. Yes!
What’s one piece of your life that feels like it’s gone stale, where you find yourself running on automatic?
Introduce something new into that piece of your life NOW. No more waiting. Do it NOW. The Universe loves speed and action, and when you trip it up, you actually create a new kind of flow in your energy field. And. You rewire your brain! That means you’re making it easier and easier to break up old energy and old patterns… and you’re introducing fresh new energy into your life.
I wrote a blog about a year ago called Tripping Up the Universe – How to Change Your Life One Pattern at a Time, so I won’t go into detail here about it, but suffice it to say, it’s time to get “back in the river.” While you’re in the river, don’t forget to let those old patterns float down the river and dissolve into the water to be recycled and regenerated.
If you want more money, how can you play differently NOW in your relationship with money?
If you want to heal a relationship, what if you shift your attitude in this moment and insert some playfulness into the mix?
If you’re not sure what you want to shift or you just want to create new energy and new patterns, what weird, silly or out of character thing can you do in this moment?
Let your inner Creatrix express herself! What’s your one thing? What can you do RIGHT NOW that is either completely new to you, or just done differently than you’ve ever done it before?
I’d love to hear about it – and your experience of your one thing. Please share in the comments on the blog. (:
Love & Blessings,
