How to Melt Away Old Emotions and Create Freedom #TruthbyBrenda

Here’s your 16th Medicine Song Oracle Cards™ reading, along with the audio clip of the medicine song that matches the card.

The cards and the songs from my Medicine Song CD interact with each other to amplify the energy and experience for you. The cards are based on the Ojibwe medicine wheel the way I was taught by indigenous traditional teachers, and my own Medicine Wheel of Success system, as well as the 13 Grandmother Moons of the lunar cycle and the 28 days of each Moon cycle.

Your 16th reading is based on the song “Journey to Freedom.” Click on the audio player at the top of this week’s blog to hear the clip and meditate to the healing art while you read the message for the week.

The “Journey to Freedom” Activity Card is from the North direction of the medicine wheel, representing Earthphysicalbodybusinessmoney and wisdom.

The message on the card says “As you listen to this song, intend that unresolved emotional conflicts are melting away.”

The image is of a Star Elder. See if you can feel her essence shining through the card. Just looking at her can often send a jolt of healing energy or ancient wisdom through your being.

I channelled the song “Journey to Freedom” as a way to dispel feelings of extreme anger, rage even, at being spiritually violated by a neighbour. It was an incredibly intense situation for me. I smoked out my entire apartment with cedar to remove the negative energy that had been thrown my way and I sang this song until I cried out all my negative emotions.

It may have been actions by my neighbour that were the immediate cause of my anger, but I definitely had unresolved emotional conflicts that I needed to melt away. I have learned that any time you feel really intense anger, it’s never really to do with the current situation presenting itself. That situation is just a catalyst and trigger to help bring up an old emotion so that you can release it.

In order to let go of unresolved emotional conflicts, you have to let the emotions surface, feel your way through them and then let them go. Shoving it down inside only causes more pain. Trying to make it go away by casting it out doesn’t work either. E-Motion. Energy in Motion. Emotions are meant to move through us.

Start with something small, like peeling off one more layer of anger towards someone for something they did to you. While you’re listening to the song, let your intentions and the vibrations of the song move the energy and emotion through you and imagine it melting away. If you have the oracle deck and music, pull out this card and listen to the full song.

If you like, please share your experience, or an affirmation of what you’ve let go, in the comments on the blog.

Love & Blessings,

Brenda MacIntyre, Medicine Song Woman
