How to Fill in Your Year Plan… with SPIRIT

Leadership | 0 comments

Brighid’s Day is coming up on February 2nd. That means you will have the energies of Birthing, Creating, Growing and Increase to help you with your planning! So if you haven’t done your year plan yet, now’s a great time.

What’s in your Year Plan so far? Are YOU and SPIRIT fully included? I find it fascinating that many spiritual entrepreneurs go one of two ways:

  1. Spirit will take care of it all. I don’t need to plan. The Universe will take care of it for me.
  2. I’ve got my year fully planned out with all the steps and to do lists ready to go.

We need BOTH as spiritual entrepreneurs.

We need to be grounded in our bodies, using our brains and allowing Spirit (within and around us) to lead us.

Since I just ran a meetup last night in Toronto on this topic, I wanted to share it with you too, so here goes!

MOTTO FOR THE YEAR. Mine this year is “Everything is a #SacredPlayground.” What’s yours? How do you want to live your life this year?

MANTRA FOR THE YEAR: How do you want to experience yourself and your life? How do you want to feel? This started off as my “Core Desired Feelings” using Danielle Laporte’s Desire Map, but I took it deeper. It’s not just about how I want to feel. It’s about how I want to experience and interact with myself and everything around me. It’s also more than just a collection of words. It’s who and what I AM. You? I’d love to hear yours! Here’s mine:

INTENTIONS. Write them as if you’re a child playing “pretend”. On December 31st, 2015, what do you see yourself smiling about from the past year? What are you congratulating yourself on? Be reasonable but push yourself a little too. This is NOT resolutions. This is you becoming. I teach a practice called Multisensory Visioning in my Step into Your Birthright program that takes this deeper.

CELEBRATIONS: What are you celebrating from the last year? What worked out really well, even if you seemed to have no hand in it? What did you set out to do that you accomplished? What did you manifest or create?

WHAT SUCKED. Let’s be real. Some of the previous year sucked. It was no fun at all! It’s okay to give it a voice! Then you can notice what patterns you might have recreated, and what you don’t want to do again, or how you might make different choices in similar circumstances next time. Don’t spend all day here but do give it a voice.

Pieces Of The Plan:

Thoughtfully list just 1-5 goals for each piece of the plan:

  • Health
  • Social/Playtime
  • Personal Downtime
  • Family
  • Home
  • Spirituality (if you need a separate category – for me it runs through everything)
  • BUSINESS
  • Money
  • Clients
  • Projects/Launches
  • Marketing
  • Sales

BLOCKS (so you can get support around clearing them): Are you connecting with Spirit to help you clear your blocks? Are you getting the spiritual support you need? We tend to have the same blocks come up in “new and improved” ways, and to change our lives, we need to dissolve the blocks or shift our response to them.  What’s your special brand of self-sabotage?

The obstacles in the way of living your dream are actually stepping stones to get there. [CLICK TO TWEET]

COMMITMENTS & ACTIONS REQUIRED: First off, do you really want this or is it something someone else wants for you or you think you should or have to do? Make sure YOU are making the decisions here and then your commitments will be stronger.

Here’s a little tip: Key #10 in my 7 Keys to Success through Spirit Connection is COMMITMENT. That’s how Spirit laid it out for me (the teachings are from a vision) and it all makes sense because honestly, without commitment, nothing gets done. And then there’s the question:

What might you be committed to that is actually getting in your way? [CLICK TO TWEET]

I’ll share more about Commitment and the rest of the 7 Keys to Success through Spirit Connection in my upcoming FREE Virtual Retreat on Brighid’s Day Monday February 2nd, 2015. If you want to manifest more of you truly desire this year, and be seen and heard with your biz, go ahead and sign up and I’ll see you on the call (and in the chat room! Playing with a new chat feature!).

How Else Can You Bring Spirit Into Your Biz Goals And Into The More Human Places Of Your Life?

Here are some of my ideas:

  • Creating Sacred Space
  • Make Planning a Spiritual Practice
  • Invoke Spirit and Stay in Body
  • Sacred Self-Care
  • Client Magnetizing Meditation (one of my daily practices)
  • Developing a relationship with the energy of money
  • Checking in with your body and higher self in decision making. What feels good?
  • Using your practices to clear blocks

What are YOUR ideas? Please share below. Your ideas will inspire the others who read them – gotta love that ripple effect. (:

Happy Year Planning!

Love & Blessings,

Brenda MacIntyre, Medicine Song Woman
