A Facebook friend – Julie Ward – inboxed me over the weekend. I had only met her in person once when I invited her to a networking event here in Toronto, after I had called her to introduce myself and find out more about her and her business. Well, she wanted to know if I do house clearings. You know… clean up the energies in your space.

The truth is, I hadn’t done a house clearing in quite a while, and it’s definitely not a regular part of my business any more. But here’s the thing. I had just put out a request to Source for a pretty big money goal for the next week, and here was Source handing me a person who needed a service from me that I could provide. And I just “happened” to have the time she wanted available – literally that night!

As I was getting ready, packing up my drum and my sacred items… another of my drums called to me and very clearly let me know I was to leave my other drum at home and take this one instead.

Now, tell me what you see on the face of that drum.

I was gifted this drum in British Columbia after giving a couple of workshops at a conference. It was very meaningful for me because, apart from the honour it was to receive a drum straight from the drum-maker and conference organizer Kris Taks in acknowledgement of my gifts, I am a major horse-lover!!!

Can you believe that wasn’t painted or etched or anything? You can’t plan something like that either, because you have to soak and stretch the hide before it goes on the drum and it looks very different until it dries on the drum frame days later. Pretty amazing, right?

When I took out my horse drum the other night, I asked my client if horses meant anything to her, and that was truly the beginning of the healing and clearing that needed to take place. It was so profound. Afterward, on Facebook, she said “Feeling free Brenda!!! I was cracked wide open when you showed me your horse drum and told me it insisted on coming over.”

So. When things aren’t going the way you want, or even when they are, remember to be open to what might show up in the mix. You’ve got to make yourself available to and for what shows up. Like Julie did. Like I did.

Remember to ask your higher realms support team AND your human network for help along your journey. And when you ask, keep all your senses open and really listen to and honour what comes.

I didn’t have to pack that drum.

I didn’t even have to say yes to leaving my house that night to perform a service I haven’t done in over a year.

And I didn’t have to tell Julie about the drum insisting on coming.

But I’m super-grateful that I listened to my intuition, my drum and my spirit, and said a big yes. Not only was I on purpose and receiving abundance for that, but Julie and I really connected, and that is really what life is all about, right? Connection.

Don’t miss out on the opportunities your spirit is showing you.

What do you need to say a big YES to? What could you become more open to?

How can you create space in your life for listening to your intuition?

Happy creating!

Blessings,

Brenda MacIntyre, Medicine Song Woman
